MONROE - Gary E. Goecks, 62, rural Juda, died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a farming accident.
The Green County Sheriff Department dispatched an ambulance at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to N1496 County OK in Spring Grove township for an emergency call of a person caught in an auger.
Green County Sheriff's preliminary investigation revealed Goecks' leg was caught in the auger.
He was extricated by Juda First Responders and transported with life-threatening injuries to Med-Flight by Monroe EMS and flown to U-W Hospital, where he died.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Goecks started a beef cattle business in 1969.
