DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Conservation and Zoning Department and Southwest Badger Resource Conservation and Development Council will have a display in the commercial building at the Lafayette County Fair, which will be held Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14.
The booth will have information on:
n Free water testing for nitrates. Those who would like to have their water tested should bring in a clean pint jar of well water at any time during the fair.
n Information on how to slow the spread by boat or tread will be available.
n Natural Resources Conservation Services will have a display on "Soil Health." Those interested can learn about conservation practices to improve their soil. Information will also be available on EQIP sign-up and eligible conservation practices.
n Information on the Working Lands Initiative, Agricultural Enterprise Area's Land Conservation Cost Share Program, and invasive species will be available throughout the fair.
Those who stop at the booth can also play some games and make a button.
