MONROE - The 16th annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 1. Individuals, businesses and organizations may participate with an entry.

The parade will organize at the Monroe Middle School north side and the Monroe school district parking lot before 6 p.m., and proceed around the Square, returning to the parking lot.

Generators will be available from Precision Drive and Control Inc. for any entry that needs electricity for lighting. To reserve a generator, contact Susie Krueger at PDC before Nov. 27 to make arrangements to reserve and pick up a generator. A limited supply will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

To avoid confusion, there will be only one Santa and Mrs. Claus in the parade, and Main Street Monroe will provide them. After the parade, they will be at Wisconsin Bank & Trust along with crafts, hot chocolate, treats and photos with Santa. Christmas carols will be provided by St. Victor School chorus students.

For more information, contact parade co-chairmen Tom Miller at tmiller4421@charter.net or 329-4421 or Melisa Zettle at melisaschmidt@hotmail.com or 444-1607, or go to http://www.mainstreetmonroe.org.
