MONROE — A Monroe woman was arrested on a drunken driving charge after crashing into a power line pole south of Juda last week, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Stephanie R. Scott, 30, was jailed on the first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and on a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping.

She had a probation hold placed on her by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

She was also cited for driving without a valid license, hit-and-run to property adjacent to a highway, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and failure to notify law enforcement of an accident.

Deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash in the N1000 block of County S, Town of Jefferson, at 12:48 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, and located the vehicle and driver, identified as Scott, at a residence down the road.

An investigation found she was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle. It entered the west ditch and hit a power line pole, causing the pole to break in half. She then drove back onto the road and drove away.

Scott was treated for minor injuries from the crash. The vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment.

Alliant Energy responded to replace the power line pole.
