BRODHEAD - A Brodhead woman was cited for multiple offenses after a two-vehicle accident near Brodhead at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Megan A. Olson, 16, Brodhead, was westbound in the W1100 block of Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Spring Grove when she turned on her left blinker to signal her intent to turn left into a driveway on the south side of the highway. According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, Olson then waited, due to eastbound traffic, to turn.
While waiting, Olson's vehicle was rear-ended by a westbound vehicle, operated by Emily A. Revel, 20, Brodhead.
Revel was cited for inattentive driving; operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license; and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. Revel was released pending court.
Olson reported no injuries; her vehicle sustained minor rear-end damage and was driven from the scene.
Her passenger, Jade A. Kesler, 16, Brodhead, reported an injury and was taken by private vehicle to Monroe Clinic emergency room.
Revel reported being injured and was taken by Brodhead EMS to the Mercy emergency room in Janesville. Two passengers in Revel's vehicle were not injured. Revel's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
In addition to Green County deputies, Brodhead EMS, Brodhead Fire Department and Green County EMS responded.
