DPD to host K9 Glow Run

DARLINGTON - The Darlington Police Department and the Dora Ritter Wellness Center of Darlington will host the K9 Glow Run Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Lafayette County Fairgrounds.

The family event promotes fitness and positive interaction between the public and emergency services, as well as raising money for the Darlington Police Department's K9 Fund.

Before the run/walk, there will be a demonstration of the Darlington Police K9 unit. Emergency services equipment and personnel from area police, fire and EMS organizations will be on hand to answer questions and provide tours of their vehicles. A DJ will be playing at the fairgrounds.

The cost of the event is $20 per individual, $35 per couple and $15 per child. Registered participants will receive a T-shirt, two glow bracelets and a glow necklace. Registration forms are available at www.darlingtonwi.org or by contacting Amy Prine, coordinator of the Dora Ritter Wellness Center, at 608-482-0098. Pre-register by today, Oct. 12 to guarantee a T-shirt and color.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, registration will start at 7 p.m. The run/walk will start at 8 p.m.
