SOUTH WAYNE - The Department of Natural Resource announced that the Village of South Wayne is a loan applicant for funding for the safe drinking water loan program.
The project is for rehabilitation of well No. 3, which includes constructing water treatment facilities to reduce radium.
These types of action do not involve significant adverse environment effects and the DNR had made a preliminary determination that no further environment analysis is needed before proceeding with funding the projects.
The DNR is soliciting public comments regarding this decision and potential impacts of these projects.
