MONROE — Members of the Monroe Board of Education agreed to keep District Administrator Rick Waski in his position through 2021 at their meeting April 8.
Board members have been holding closed session evaluations of the administrator since Feb. 11. Member Rich Deprez commended Waski for his performance on behalf of the entire board.
Waski secured a contract from 2019 to 2021, but was also given a pay raise for his performance.
When hired in 2017, Waski accepted the position with a salary of $145,000. He was given a contract extension in April 2018 and a pay raise to $147,700. This most recent contract bumps his salary to $151,300 for the 2019-20 school year, a raise of 2.44% percent, or $3,600.
The contract was approved unanimously by the seven board members present. Amy Bazley and Dan Bartholf were absent.
