Distracted driver injured in one-vehicle crash

TOWN OF EXETER - Deputies along with New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash with injuries at 5:14 a.m. Sunday in the N9100 block of Argue Road in the Town of Exeter.

Reports indicate that Kiel R. Siegenthaler, 31, Watertown, was northbound when he became distracted while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the roadway, went into the west ditch, down a steep embankment and hit numerous trees.

Siegenthaler was transported by EMS to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Siegenthaler was cited for driving while suspended and was released.
