DARLINGTON — A Darlington man was sentenced to prison July 23 and forfeited about $21,500 in seized cash after pleading guilty to felony charges in multiple cases related to dealing drugs.
Cole Robert Gollmer, 21, pleaded guilty to maintaining a drug trafficking place, possessing cocaine, marijuana and non-narcotics with intent to deliver, bail jumping and carrying a concealed weapon. Related charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal but “read in,” meaning Judge Duane Jorgenson could consider them at sentencing.
Gollmer was sentenced to 18 months in prison and three years on extended supervision, with conditions including no drinking or drug use and an assessment for alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA).
Jorgenson ordered that all the cash police confiscated from Gollmer be forfeited, with $6,271 going to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and $15,306 going to the Darlington Police Department.
According to court records:
Police executed a search warrant in December 2017 on Gollmer’s home on Sunset Terrace. The search turned up drug paraphernalia like baggies, scales, grinders, bongs and razor blades, as well as about a third of a pound of cannabis, various prescription pills, a small amount of cocaine, a Helwan 9mm loaded pistol, six “pot brownies” and $6,271 in cash.
Gollmer admitted to selling cannabis, cocaine and prescription pills. He told police he typically purchased 3.5 grams of cocaine and half a pound of cannabis per week to sell.
On April 3, Gollmer was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Wis. 23 just north of Crist Lane, Town of Willow Springs. Darlington K9 Kilo indicated the presence of drugs, and a subsequent search located a duffle bag with a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson with the serial number filed off, about an ounce of marijuana and $15,306 in cash.
