MONROE - Plans are underway for Green County Dairy Days. Every year Dairy Day events are rotated throughout the county. This year, New Glarus is the host. Something new is the Cattle Show being held one week prior to the Dairy Day Parade and the crowning of the Green County Dairy Queen and Green County Dairy Princess.
The Cattle Show will be held on Saturday June 19 at the Green County Fairgrounds in Monroe. The show will begin at 9 a.m.
On Friday June 25, the Queens Banquet will be held at the New Glarus High School.
Moo-tails are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the banquet will begin with the Community Dairy Queens vying for the title of Green County Dairy Queen or Green County Dairy Princess. The Oldest Active Farm Couple, AG/Business Women under 40 and AG/Business Women over 40 will also be announced and honored at the banquet. Advanced tickets will be available late May.
Dairy Day activities will continue on Saturday, June 26, with the Dairy Day Parade taking place in New Glarus at noon. Parade entry information will be available soon.
The Green County Dairy Queen and the Green County Dairy Princess will be crowned at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Depot in New Glarus.
