The Green County Cheese Days Cow Milking Contest is back for 2010. The festival is currently seeking teams to show their skills at using the "pull and squirt" method to see how much milk they can get into their pails in the four-minute time limit. Representatives from various dairy breeds (Holstein, Brown Swiss, Jersey, and Guernsey) will be selected for the competition taking place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.Categories for the teams include Experienced Milkers (Green County FFA, FFA Alumni, and Farmers), "Wheel of Swiss" festival sponsors, dignitaries and festival royalty, Green County businesses or communities, Green County schools and a limited number of open teams for anyone who wants to form a group.
