MONROE - Green County Courthouse ornaments and barn quilt calendars are available as for gift-giving this holiday season.
The ornaments are custom hand-painted replicas of the Green County Courthouse, a landmark in downtown Monroe since 1891. About 2 inches tall, the ornament retails for $20 and can be hung on the Christmas tree, or by removing the gold thread hanger, displayed it on a desk or shelf year-round.
The 2013 Green County Barn Quilt Calendar is also available. It features a different barn quilt for each month, as well as facts and trivia about the family or barn at the featured location. The calendar directory is updated to list all 125 barn quilt locations in Green County. Calendars retail for $10.
Both the ornaments and the calendars are available at the Green County Courthouse, open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and at das Baumhaus, 1630 11th St.
