MONROE — Non-life threatening injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 5:52 p.m. Nov. 2 in the N9500 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Lessi E. Strahm Stewart, 21, New Glarus, was northbound when a vehicle in front of her stopped. Icewarya F. Sivadas, 21, Madison, was also northbound when she attempted to stop and rear-ended Strahm Stewart’s vehicle. Both sustained injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Sivadas’ airbags deployed. Both vehicles were towed. Strahm Stewart was cited for driving with a suspended license. Sivadas was cited for following too closely. New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department assisted.

●  Injuries were reported from a tractor vs. van accident at 5:48 a.m. Nov. 3 in the N9000 block of County CC, Town of Exeter. Jeffrey J. Verink, 62, Monroe, was northbound near the intersection with Fahey Road when his Honda van collided with a southbound tractor implement navigating through the guardrails and operated by Thomas K. Sonnenburg, 69, Belleville. Verink was transported by Belleville EMS to a hospital for his minor injuries. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Sonnenburg was not wearing his seatbelt. Citations are pending. The Belleville Fire Department and Belleville police assisted. 

●  No injuries were reported from a car vs. mailbox crash at 9:49 a.m. Nov. 5 in the N3000 block of 14th Avenue, Town of Monroe. Robert Skeway, 77, Monroe, was southbound when he swerved to avoid a northbound vehicle that entered his lane and hit the mailbox. His vehicle sustained minor damage. 

●  Eugene Boeck, 71, Albany, reported no injuries after colliding with a pony in the road at 1:48 p.m. Nov. 7 in the N4100 block of County E, Town of Decatur. Boeck was southbound when the accident happened. His vehicle sustained moderate damage. The pony was removed by its owner.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 4:06 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue in Monroe. Richard G. Kippley, 67, Belleville, was northbound when a red sedan, also northbound in the next lane, swerved in front of him and attempted to enter the Wis. 11 westbound ramp. Kippley was unable to avoid contact and struck the red sedan, which then fled. Kippley’s vehicle sustained functional damage. The red sedan was not located.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — Kimberly D. Nordlie, 53, Lena, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 7:18 p.m. Oct. 23 on County W, Town of Monticello. No injuries were reported. Her 2015 Honda sustained moderate damage. It was towed.

●  Theodore J. Lawinger, 51, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 9:06 p.m. Oct. 24 on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. His 2010 Chevrolet sustained minor damage

On Oct. 27:

●  Duane M. Jorgenson, 68, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:34 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. His 2010 Toyota sustained minor damage.

On Oct. 28:

●  Dakota W. Redfearn, 18, Cuba City, was transported to a hospital by private vehicle for injuries from a one-vehicle rollover at 9:36 a.m. on B and C Road, Town of Shullsburg. The 2006 Pontiac sustained moderate damage and remained on scene. The accident remains under investigation.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 6:34 p.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Fayette. Jeffrey W. Johnsen, 62, Darlington, hit a cow in the roadway. His 2000 Dodge sustained moderate damage and was towed.

●  Ebrima O. Jammeh, 46, Madison, reported hitting a deer at 6:46 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. The 2013 Subaru sustained minor damage.

●  John T. Paquin, 31, Browntown, reported hitting a deer at 7:59 p.m. on Meier Road, Town of Wayne. His 2012 Dodge sustained moderate damage. 

●  A vehicle vs. tractor accident was reported at 7:36 p.m. Oct. 30 on Sheldon Street in Gratiot. Dennis C. Schulze, 31, Gratiot, was nearing the intersection of Sheldon and School Street when he hit the back tire of a tractor driven by Lucas L. Stietz, 32, Gratiot. The 2014 Dodge and the tractor both sustained minor damage.

●  Hunter S. Hauser, 57, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 6:04 a.m. Oct. 31 on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. The 2008 Jeep sustained minor damage.

●  Scott J. Foley, 21, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 4:33 p.m. Nov. 1 on County N, Town of Blanchard. His 2018 Ford sustained minor damage.

On Nov. 2:

●  Cody L. Reichling, 34, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 5:37 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. His 2012 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.

●  Hannah M. Wilkinson, 18, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:24 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton. Her 2019 Kia sustained moderate damage.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 8:09 p.m. on Field Drive Road, Town of Elk Grove. Alexis Lopez, 20, Belmont, was southbound when he failed to stop at a stop sign and his vehicle came to rest in a field. The 2001 Saturn sustained severe damage and was towed. Lopez was cited for driving after suspension, failure to notify police of an accident, failure to maintain control of his vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.

On Nov. 3:

●  Savannah E. Babler, 29, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 3:01 p.m. on South Road, Town of Wiota. Her 2019 GMC sustained moderate damage.

●  Kayla K. Keller, 22, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 5:34 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. Her 2014 Jeep sustained moderate damage.

On Nov. 4:

●  Cole J. Crist, 17, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 7:29 a.m. on King Road, Town of Willow Springs. His 2014 Chrysler sustained minor damage.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 3:28 p.m. on Market Street in Belmont. Cynda L. Eastlick, 83, Belmont, was eastbound when she pulled out in front of a northbound vehicle driven by Jolene D. Baumann, 62, Cuba City. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
