DARLINGTON — On Thursday, May 16:
● Amy E. Mesch, 41, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 4:35 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. No injuries were reported. Her 2009 Hyundai sustained minor damage.
On Friday, May 17:
● Jason A. Donahoe, 45, Platteville, reported hitting a deer at 6:02 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. His 2015 Ford sustained minor damage.
● Ik Sun McLinn, 61, Shullsburg, reported hitting a dog at 9:39 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. McLinn’s 2014 Kia sustained minor damage.
On Saturday, May 18:
● A deputy responded for a 911 hang-up at 1:28 p.m. on County F, Town of Willow Springs. Taylor J. Gertsch, 22, Gratiot, was driving on County F when he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet, causing the vehicle to overturn several times. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. Darlington police assisted on scene.
On Monday, May 20:
● Minor injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 5:48 p.m. on Wis. 11 at Village Road, Town of Gratiot. Rickey J. Mormann, 62, Earlville, Iowa, was eastbound when he lost control of his semi truck. The truck hit a guardrail, entered the ditch and struck two fences and an embankment. The 2001 Western Star sustained severe damage and was towed. Mormann was cited for driving with a suspended license, inattentive driving and failure to wear a seatbelt. The Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response, Green County EMS of Darlington and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.
● Angela B. Smith, 24, Wisconsin Rapids, reported hitting a deer at 9:13 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. No injuries were reported. Smith’s 2019 Cadillac sustained minor damage.
On Wednesday, May 22:
● Rhonda K. Fuchs, 55, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 5:11 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota. Her 2013 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.
● Laura P. Stephens, 47, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 5:27 a.m. on Trotter Road, Town of Wiota. Her 2018 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.
● Jeremiah L. Johnson, 34, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 9:11 p.m. on Larson Road, Town of Wayne. His 2002 Ford sustained minor damage.
