Monroe Police

MONROE — A semi vs. pole crash with no injuries was reported at 9:40 a.m. May 27. A semi-tractor and trailer driven by Catherine P. Behrens, 21, Pecatonica, Illinois, was southbound on Wis. 69. As she turned westbound onto 8th Street, the trailer struck a traffic signal pole, knocking it down. The trailer sustained minor damage. Behrens was cited for driving with a suspended license.


Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — Robert A. Schrieber, 77, Albany, and his passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 5:07 p.m. May 25 at County H and County J, Town of York. Schrieber was backing his vehicle when it collided with a traffic sign. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The post to the traffic sign was damaged, and the Green County Highway Department responded to replace the post.

On May 26:

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 2:26 p.m. in the N2200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. Michael E. Ritchard, 74, Monroe, was northbound when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle turning into a driveway, driven by David C. Moore, 69, Monroe. Ritchard’s vehicle sustained moderate damage. Moore’s vehicle had minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

●  Shaianna M. W. Parker, 16, Monroe, sustained non-life threatening injuries in a rollover crash reported at 3:02 p.m. in the N5100 block of Rechsteiner Road, Town of Mount Pleasant. She was northbound when she reported she looked at her cellphone. At this time, she lost control and her vehicle entered the east ditch and overturned. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Parker was cited for inattentive driving.

●  Amanda Olivares, 31, Monticello, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 4:54 p.m. May 28 in the W4200 block of County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. She was westbound when she lost control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit an embankment. It sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

●  Joshua L. Boomgarden, 20, Freeport, reported injuries but declined EMS treatment following a motorcycle crash at 8:53 p.m. May 29 in the N2300 block of County S, Town of Jefferson. He was southbound when he lost control and laid the motorcycle down. He reported wearing protective equipment. The motorcycle was removed from the scene.
