Monroe Police 

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 3:13 p.m. June 11 on 8th Street and 5th Avenue. Dawna E. Stamm, 54, Monroe, made a turn into a westbound vehicle on 8th Street operated by Samuel Francisco Lopez, 43, Monroe. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Stamm was cited for failure to yield right of way from stop sign. Lopez was cited for driving without valid license. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

●  Joshua C. Nethery, 34, and Ashley M. Nethery, 30, both of Shullsburg, were transported by Green County EMS of Darlington to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries sustained in a motorcycle vs. deer crash at 7:47 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. They were traveling on his 2011 Yamaha when a deer ran onto the road causing him to lose control. Joshua was later transported by Air Care Dubuque to UW Madison. Darlington Fire Department and Darlington Police Department assisted. 

On June 12: 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 7:56 p.m. on Burke Road, Town of Darlington. Eric R. Nicklaus, 39, Darlington, was westbound on Wis. 81 when he lost control, crossed the center line, hit the ditch and re-entered the roadway. His 2004 Pontiac sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was cited for driving without a valid license, driving left of center, no vehicle insurance and failure to notify police of an accident. 

●  Jadin L. Ruf, 41, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:08 p.m. on County F, Town of Willow Springs. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. 

On June 13: 

●  Tara A. Stietz, 38, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 7:06 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. Her 2016 Toyota sustained moderate damage. 

●  Xandria L. Olson, 18, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 10:46 p.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington. Her 2013 Ford sustained minor damage.

●  Benton Fire and First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded for a two-vehicle accident at 11:37 a.m. June 15 on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. Charles E. Moss, 55, Nowich, Ontario, was eastbound operating a 2005 Peterbuilt. Dolores E. Humphrey, 78, Benton, was stopped at the stop sign on Bennett Road and proceeded into the intersection hitting the semi. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. 

On June 16: 

●  Amanda L. Scott-Groom, 36, Mineral Point, was transported by Green County EMS of Darlington for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a two-vehicle accident at 5:04 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot. She was traveling east pulling equipment when she was hit from behind by a vehicle operated by Devin A. Nobiling, 18, Antioch, Illinois. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. They were towed. The accident remains under investigation. Gratiot First Response and Gratiot Fire assisted. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On June 17: 

●  Minor injuries were reported from a single-vehicle rollover crash at 12:52 p.m. in the W700 block of Atkinson Road, Town of Albany. Benjamin M. Schultz, 20, Oregon, Illinois, was westbound when he fell asleep. He entered the south ditch, overturned several times then hit a power pole. His vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. He was cited for inattentive driving. Alliant Energy made repairs to the power pole. 

●  No injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. tractor crash at 4:48 p.m. in the W8600 block of Stubbe Road, Town of Cadiz. Chad D. Anderson, 39, Browntown, was westbound operating a farm tractor and hauling a round baler. He slowed to turn south into a field when a westbound vehicle operated by Jordyn R. Hughes, 27, Lena, Illinois, attempted to pass him and hit the tractor. The vehicle sustained functional damage. 

On June 18: 

●  Minor injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. tree crash at a.m. in the W800 block of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur. Thomas R. Hoesly, 67, Brodhead, was eastbound when he lost visibility due to a heavy rainstorm, entered the north ditch and hit a tree coming to rest in a field. He was not wearing his seatbelt. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Brodhead Police Department, Brodhead EMS and Brodhead Fire Department assisted. 

●  Suzanne H. Roe, 58, Burlington, was transported by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 2:47 p.m. in the W1800 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Green. She was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle while attempting to slow down due to traffic congestion in a work zone. She entered the north ditch and overturned once. She was not wearing her seatbelt. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Juda Fire Department assisted.
