MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported in the W3600 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester, at 3:16 p.m. Monday, July 15. Stephanie C. Jones, 24, Antioch, Illinois, was westbound when she attempted to change lanes and hit a vehicle driven by Bethany S. Brunner, 35, Brodhead. Both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder of the road. Both vehicles sustained damage but were driven from the scene. Jones was cited for inattentive driving.

●  Peter R. Eddington, 64, Mount Horeb, sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash reported in the Town of York at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. Eddington was eastbound on Wis. 39 at the intersection with County J when a southbound driver on County J failed to yield right-of-way and struck Eddington’s vehicle. He was transported by New Glarus EMS to St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison for treatment of his injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed. The other driver, Jennifer D. Wininger, 38, Fishers, Indiana, declined to be checked out by EMS at the scene. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. She was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign. The New Glarus Police and Fire Departments assisted deputies and EMS on scene.


Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On Monday, July 15: 

●  Debra L. Mau, 60, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 2:12 p.m. on County N, Town of Wiota. No injuries were reported. The 2008 Toyota sustained minor damage.

On Tuesday, July 16:

●  John E. Strause, 62, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 11:23 a.m. on South Prairie Road, Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported. The 1999 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.
