MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with injuries was reported at 9:30 p.m. July 2 at Wis. 81 and Wis. 11/County GG, Town of Spring Grove. Heidi L. Nelson, 51, Beloit, was westbound on Wis. 81 when she failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection. Her vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle on Wis. 11 driven by Jodee L. Vandlen, 55, Juda. The vehicles then entered the ditch and came to rest. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. Both vehicles had disabling damage with airbag deployment and were towed. Nelson was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign, failure to wear a seatbelt, non-registration of an auto and no vehicle insurance. Green County EMS, Brodhead EMS and the Brodhead Fire Department assisted deputies on scene.

●  Daniel R. Gill, 21, Madison, sustained a non-life threatening injury in a motorcycle crash reported at 8:23 a.m. July 6 in the W7000 block of Wis. 39, Town of York. He was eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the motorcycle, which came to rest in the north ditch. He was taken by Blanchardville EMS to UW Hospital in Madison. He was wearing a helmet with eye protection and protective riding gear. New Glarus police and the Blanchardville Fire Department assisted deputies on scene.

●  A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:09 p.m. July 6 in the N7900 block of Smith Road, Town of Brooklyn. Sharon J. Blake, 66, Lisbon, was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle. It entered the east ditch and hit a tree. Blake sustained a minor injury. Two juvenile passengers were uninjured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. Blake was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

●  A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:51 p.m. July 7 in the N1200 block of County T, Town of Spring Grove. The occupants had fled the scene. Responding deputies determined the 1999 Ford Escort was southbound when it entered the west ditch. It sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment. It is unknown if anyone sustained injuries in the crash. The car was towed. The crash remains under investigation.

●  David Mendez, 54, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 4:47 p.m. July 8 in the N1400 block of County K, Town of Jefferson. He was southbound when he lost control and hit a guardrail. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Mendez was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.


Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On June 29:

●  Jennifer R. Russell, 42, reported hitting a deer at 5:15 a.m. on County A, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. Her 2017 Dodge sustained minor damage.

●  Rayna J. Cullen, 18, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 10:08 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. Her 2003 Saturn sustained moderate damage.

On July 1:

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:39 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Belmont. The 2007 Chevrolet driven by Jacob W. Langkamp, 22, Potosi, had mechanical issues, causing it to exit the road and hit a guardrail. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

●  Terry L. Ferguson, 59, Rock Springs, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 9:59 a.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Belmont. The 2015 Ford sustained minor damage.

●  Ryan D. Komprood, 38, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 4:59 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. His 2001 Ford sustained minor damage.

On July 4:

●  Brooklyn J. Allaback, 19, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 7:40 a.m. on County O, Town of Seymour. No injuries were reported. The 2017 Ford sustained moderate damage.

On July 7:

●  Kelsey K. Schilling, 16, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 4:58 a.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington. Her 2004 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  Patricia A. Rood, 74, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:11 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. His 2017 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.
