Monroe Police

MONROE — Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries at 7:31 p.m. Thursday, July 4. Bryan T. Schroeder, 24, Monroe, was northbound on 13th Avenue when he collided with a westbound vehicle on 19th Street driven by Travis J. Smith, 43, Monroe. A passenger in Smith’s vehicle reported injuries and was transported to Monroe Clinic by Green County EMS. Both vehicles sustained major damage. Schroeder was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign. Smith was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was booked, then released to a responsible person pending court.

MONROE — A vehicle vs. power pole crash with injuries was reported in the W6400 block of Farmers Grove Road, Town of New Glarus, at 12:07 p.m. Friday, July 5. Trevor D. Rodebaugh, 17, Blanchardville, was eastbound when he became distracted and lost control. The vehicle went off the road and collided with a power pole, then rolled and came to rest on its roof in the ditch at Disch Road. It sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. Rodebaugh reported no injuries. His 14-year-old female passenger reported injuries and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Alliant Energy responded to replace the power pole. Rodebaugh was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, June 27:

●  A minor two-vehicle accident was reported at 1:40 p.m. on Galena Street, Town of Darlington.

●  Todd T. Hauser, 51, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 2:57 p.m. on County E, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. The 2002 Buick sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, June 28:

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:49 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. Meghan L. Larson, 37, Darlington, lost control of her 2011 Jeep, causing it to exit the roadway, hit a mailbox and come to rest in the ditch. The Jeep sustained moderate damage and was towed.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 4:40 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. Trevor J. Thuli, 26, Belmont, was driving when a tire blew on his 2018 Dodge Journey, causing the vehicle to go into the ditch. No injuries were reported. The Dodge was towed.

On Saturday, June 29:

●  No injuries were reported from a rollover crash at 6:34 a.m. on Mine Road, Town of Elk Grove. Justan L. Ernst, 17, Cuba City, lost control of his 2010 Ford, causing the vehicle to go off the road, hit a guardrail and roll several times before coming to rest. The Ford sustained severe damage and was towed. The Cuba City Fire Department and Cuba City EMS assisted a deputy on scene.

●  A two-vehicle accident was reported at 12:19 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. The Belmont Fire Department and Belmont EMS assisted a deputy on scene.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 7:53 p.m. on County N, Town of Blanchard. Trevor C. Hook, 25, Evansville, was driving his 2011 Ford and pulling a trailer loaded with a Jet Ski. The trailer veered off the road, causing the Jet Ski to roll off into the ditch.

On Sunday, June 30:

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 4:29 p.m. in the Town of Wiota. Katie E. Pandow, 15, Monroe, was northbound on Jordan Wiota Road when she overcorrected while turning onto County Y, causing the vehicle to exit the road and hit a pole. The 2015 Dodge sustained moderate damage.
