MADISON — The third quarter ended on a positive note as both September home sales and median prices increased above their levels a year earlier, according to the most recent analysis of the monthly existing housing market by the Wisconsin Realtors Association. Compared to last September, home sales rose 5.2%, and median prices increased 5.4% to $195,000. On a year-to-date basis, home sales lagged behind the first nine months of 2018 by just 2%, and median prices were up 7.3% to $198,500.
The median price for Green County has gone up by 2.4% to $174,000 with home sales also increasing by 36.4%.
The home sales for Lafayette County lowered by 27.3%.
