MONROE — A Monroe man has been charged with attempted murder, reportedly of an armed Dubuque man, in the Iowa river town.
Police said 49-year-old Kenneth M. Moore was arrested on Wednesday on an arrest warrant relating to an Aug. 4 shooting incident, according to published reports, citing the Iowa criminal complaint.
According to court records cited by KWWL, Dubuque Police responded on August 4 to the 2400 block of Stafford Street just before 4:15 a.m. The shooting reportedly left visible damage to windows and was caught on surveillance cameras.
“Moore then fired a handgun toward the front porch of the residence,” the report said. “Moore then entered a vehicle and pointed his gun at the residence as it drove away.”
Surveillance footage also is alleged to show Moore and the victim getting into some type of altercation in the moments before the shooting. Police later determined that both men may have fired guns in the ordeal, although they believe Moore started the exchange.
