DARLINGTON - A Monroe woman remains free on a $1,000 signature bond after making her initial appearance Monday in Lafayette County Circuit Court for seventh-offense drunken driving.

Paula K. Perrin, 37, is charged with seventh-offense drunken driving, a class G felony, and driving after revocation, an unclassified misdemeanor. She faces more than 10 years in prison and more than $25,000 in fines, if convicted.

Court records allege she was intoxicated when she was stopped by Lafayette County Sheriff's Department deputies at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 81 in Argyle township. The preliminary breath test showed she was driving at .174. The legal limit in Wisconsin is .08.

Her preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 30 before Lafayette County Circuit Court Judge William D. Johnston.
