ARGYLE - Two Argyle men were arrested Friday, April 20, on charges of dealing marijuana and prescription stimulants.

The charges against Patrick J. Allen, 19, and Matthew N. Cline, 25, follow a three-month investigation into illegal drug distribution that involved undercover, controlled buys orchestrated by drug agents with the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department with the assistance of Argyle Police, according to Sheriff Scott Pedley.

Allen was jailed on charges of delivering marijuana and prescription stimulants.

Cline was jailed on charges of delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug dwelling.

They were arrested at about 11:40 a.m. and are being detained until court appearances are scheduled next week.

Investigation into related cases of illegal drug distribution is continuing, said Pedley.
