TOWN OF NEW GLARUS - One man was MedFlighted and another taken by ambulance to an ER following a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 1.
Benjamin B. Atkinson, 49, New Glarus, was transported by MedFlight helicopter for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department.
The other driver, Lawrence A. Deschamps, 54, Glenview, Ill., was transported by New Glarus EMS for his injuries.
Deschamps was slowing down on Wis. 69 to turn left onto Old Madison Road when Atkinson reportedly rear-ended him.
Deputies, along with New Glarus police and firefighters, responded to the scene at 4:41 p.m.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed.
