Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Deputies responded at about 9 p.m. Monday to a motor vehicle crash in the Village of Browntown. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Scott W. Bartosik, 52, South Wayne, had struck a power pole at South School Street and East South Street in the Village of Browntown, and then left the scene. Bartosik was stopped in the City of Monroe by Monroe Police Department. Deputies arrested Bartosik for felony fourth offense driving while intoxicated, hit and run to property, failure to stop at a stop sign and driving with a revoked license. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

n No injuries were reported from a a one-vehicle accident at about 10 a.m. Monday in the W3800 block of Greenbush Road in the Town of Sylvester. Deputies report Daniel Alvarez-Vargas, 31, Monroe, was westbound on Greenbush Road when his vehicle left the north side of the roadway and struck several trees. The vehicle receive moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Alvarez-Vargas was cited for driving with no valid driver's license, second offense within three years, and failure to maintain control. He was released pending court.

n A vehicle driven by Dallas L. Cecil, 57, South Wayne, and a deer collided at about 5:45 a.m. Monday on County MM west of Smock Valley Road in the Town of Cadiz. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - William A. Anderson, 54, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at about 6:15 a.m. Monday on County K in the Town of Darlington. The vehicle received moderate damage.
