MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 21 on Wisconsin 11/81, east of Balls Mill Road, in the Town of Sylvester. Reports indicate that Ryan C. Johnson, 30, Orion, Ill., was operating a semi-tractor trailer unit that was in the left lane when it approached the end of the four-lane highway merging into a two-lane highway. As Johnson changed lanes, the passenger side of his semi-truck made contact with the driver's side of a passenger car driven by Traci L. Wade, 22, Milton. Wade was traveling in the right lane even with the semi-truck when it merged into her lane. Wade stated that a third vehicle was in front of her so she was unable to accelerate in front of the semi. She moved over as far as she could, but the front passenger semi tire made contact with her rear driver's side door. Wade's vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Johnson's semi had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

- Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:27 a.m. on Middle Juda Road, east of County K, in the Town of Jefferson. Reports indicate that Celine A. Martin, 20, Juda, was traveling eastbound on Middle Juda Road when she lost control of her vehicle after it started to hydroplane on the wet road. The vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway, hit a culvert and then slid into a yard on Middle Juda Road, causing some minor damage to the yard. Martin had injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene, but was later transported to the hospital by private vehicle. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
