Monroe Police

MONROE - Three people were transported with non-life threatening injuries to Monroe Clinic hospital following a two-vehicle accident at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and Eighth Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Oswaldo Guerrero Lopez, 25, South Wayne, collided with a vehicle operated by Cynthia K. Svendsen, 45, Monroe. Faridy Guerrero, 38, was a passenger in the Lopez vehicle. Lopez was cited for failure to yield from red flashing light and operating without a valid driver's license. Both vehicles received severe damage and were towed from the scene. The Monroe Fire Department assisted.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a car-motorcycle accident at about 6 a.m. Saturday in the W 1300 block of Wisconsin 59 in Albany township. Deputies report Hunter R. Dunn, 16, Oregon, made a U-turn in the path of a motorcycle driven by Jeramy M. Sweeney, 31, Monroe. The vehicles collided and Sweeney was ejected from the motorcycle. Dunn was not injured. Sweeney sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Dunn's vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Sweeney's motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Dunn was cited for unlawful U-turn and was released.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle roll-over at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the W6300 block of County H. Deputies report Ryan M. Fisher, 32, Omaha, Neb., lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and rolled over. Fisher sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Fisher was arrested for operating under the influence of intoxicants, second offense. Fisher was also cited for failure to maintain control and for expired registration. Fisher was released pending court.

• Deputies responded to a vehicle versus guardrail accident at about 6:15 a.m. Monday on County CC north of Tunnel Road. The driver fled the scene, but has been identified. The incident remains under investigation with charges pending.

• A vehicle driven by Elizabeth J. Allen, 54, Browntown, hit a deer at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the N1500 block of County K.

• A vehicle driven by Allyn C. Lindgren, 61, Rockford, Ill., hit a deer at about 3:45 p.m. Monday on County J north of County C. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Two people sustained non-life threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday on County G in Belmont township. State Patrol handled the investigation; no further information was available at press time.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 11 in South Wayne. Deputies report Kevin J. Smith, 28, Janesville, was backing from a parking space and hit an illegally parked, unattended vehicle driven by Wanda J. Boeck, 62, Browntown. Boeck's vehicle received minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident at about 12:15 a.m. Monday on County B in Wayne township. Deputies report Calli F. Carroll, 22, Monroe, was westbound when she traveled across the road, into the opposite ditch and back to the right ditch where the vehicle overturned. Carroll then left the scene. Carroll was cited for failure to have control, failure to report an accident, inattentive driving and obstructing an officer. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

• A deputy investigated a minor two-vehicle accident at about 1:45 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in Benton. No further information was available at press time.
