Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Monday on 6th Street at 29th Avenue. Brittany N. Ethridge, 23, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit another vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man from Brodhead. Ethridge was cited at 8:19 a.m. for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 12th Avenue and 3rd Street, Village of New Glarus at 7:57 a.m. Michael D. Nelson, 58, New Glarus, was westbound on 12th Avenue when a vehicle turning east onto 12th Avenue driven by Nicholas D. Santamassimo, 16, New Glarus, crossed the westbound lane and hit Nelson's vehicle. Santamassimo and his passenger were uninjured. His vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene. Nelson was uninjured and his vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Larry A. Funk, 50, Monroe, and his passenger received non-life-threatening injuries after his vehicle hit a power pole in the N3900 Goepfert Road, Monroe Township. Funk was northbound negotiating a curve when the vehicle crossed the roadway and went into the west ditch. The vehicle then hit a power pole. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene. Funk was cited at 5:30 p.m. for failing to maintain control of a vehicle. Monroe Fire and EMS assisted with the crash.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on 3rd Street, Benton, at 6:19 a.m. Terry L. Walton, 48, Benton, was northbound when a westbound vehicle driven by Korey A. Krueger, 28, Benton, pulled away from a yield sign and hit Walton's vehicle. Both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene.

• Denise L. Johnson, 53, Argyle, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on Wisconsin 78, Argyle Township, at 6:22 a.m. The vehicle was moderately damaged.
