MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of 8th Street. Donna L. Habermeyer, 60, Brookfield, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by a 58-year-old man from Polo, Ill. Habermeyer was cited at 3:42 p.m. Saturday for failure to yield right-of-way.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - An Argyle man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 81, Argyle Township. Lyle Muszynski, 49, was westbound on Wis. 81 and was turning into a private driveway in front of an eastbound vehicle driven by Kristy Fischer, 36, Argyle, and the vehicles collided. Muszynski was subsequently arrested at 10:09 p.m. Friday for DWI. He remains jailed pending court. Argyle EMS, Argyle Fire Department and Green County sheriff's deputies assisted at the scene. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed from the scene.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Friday:

• Lori L. Lenz, 50, Evansville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the N7500 block of Wisconsin 104, Town of Brooklyn, at 3:52 a.m. Lenz was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway; Lenz swerved to miss the deer and entered the west shoulder. Lenz attempted to correct, went back onto the roadway and attempted to correct again re-entering the west shoulder where her vehicle hit the ditch, tipping over onto the driver's side. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.

• Gregory L. Miller, 37, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the W2400 block of Wisconsin 59, Town of Albany, at 6:22 a.m. Miller was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 81 at Wisconsin 11, Spring Grove Township, at 11:23 a.m. Sue A. Gayet, 72, Rockford, was stopped at the intersection of Wis. 81 and Wis. 11 and attempting to turn west onto Wis. 11 when a semi-tractor trailer unit driven by Brittany A. Dubel, 22, Brodhead, attempted to turn onto Wis. 81 and hit Gayet's van. Gayet suffered an injury but declined medical attention. Her passenger was uninjured. Dubel and her passenger were uninjured as well. Gayet's van was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. The semi Dubel was driving was not damaged and the trailer she was towing sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Donald L. Derus, 67, Eagle River, and his passengers were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N600 block of County T, Spring Grove Township, at 8:17 p.m. Derus was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Church Street and North Rutland Avenue, Village of Brooklyn, at 9:47 p.m. Savabba Marye Daniels, 17, Juda, was leaving the stop sign in the southbound lane of Rutland Avenue and pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Mackenzie L. Welacha, 23, New Glarus. Welacha's vehicle hit the passenger side of Daniels' vehicle, causing severe damage to Daniels' vehicle. Welacha's vehicle sustained no damage and was driven from the scene. Daniels' vehicle was towed from the scene. She was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

On Sunday:

• Elisabeth J. Pinnow, 19, Darlington, reported to law enforcement Sunday that she was in a one-vehicle accident Saturday on Wisconsin 39 near Wisconsin 78, Town of York. Pinnow told deputies she fell asleep and her vehicle went into the ditch. She was injured in the crash and sought medical treatment on Sunday. The crash remains under investigation.

• Steven R. Bunner, 26, Madison, was uninjured after the engine of his vehicle started on fire. Bunner was southbound on Wisconsin 69 near Harper Road, Town of Washington, when he began experiencing engine problems. Bunner pulled over to the side of the road and was able to exit his vehicle when the engine started ablaze. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene. Deputies, Monticello Fire and Police responded to the incident at 3:33 p.m.

• Andrea Carolyn Surlas, 18, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on Wis. 69 near Gutzmer Road, Town of Mount Pleasant, at 8:12 p.m. Surlas was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.
