MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Friday on Wisconsin 39 at Drammen Valley Road in York township. Deputies report a northbound tractor driven by David S. Stampfli, 18, Monticello, slowed down to turn left when a vehicle driven by Dawn R. Jenkin, 42, Dodgeville, attempted to pass the tractor on the left. Stampfli's tractor hit Jenkin's vehicle. Jenkin's' vehicle received moderate damage. Stampfli was arrested for a Lafayette County warrant. He was taken to the New Glarus Police Department. He posted bond and was released.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 7:30 a.m. Friday at County J and Wis. 39 in York township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Sandra R. Gjavenis, 48, Blanchardville, turned onto County J and hit a vehicle driven by Shane C. Sanderson, 32, Madison, which was stopped at the intersection on County J. Gjavenis told deputies she couldn't see the intersection very well because the sun was in her eyes. Sanderson's vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Gjavenis' vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot on North Mill Street in Browntown. Deputies report a vehicle driven by David L. Cobb, 49, Warren, backed into a vehicle owned by John C. Williams, 56, Browntown. Williams' vehicle received moderate damage. Cobb's vehicle received minor damage.
A vehicle driven by Nichole L. Mattson, 28, New Glarus, hit a block of wood that was in the road at about 11:45 a.m. Friday on Wis. 59 east of Decatur-Sylvester Road in York township. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
