DARLINGTON — On Sept. 18:
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 6:57 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Nicholas S. Johns, 18, Greenfield, was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the median crossing the northbound lanes and entered a cornfield. His 2006 GMC sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was cited for inattentive driving and driving without a valid license. Nicky D. Johns, 38, Greenfield, was cited for allowing an unauthorized person to operate a vehicle.
On Sept. 20:
● James G. Radaszewski, 53, Apple River, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 5:05 a.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg. His 2017 Ford sustained moderate damage.
● No injuries were reported from a minor two-vehicle accident at 4 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 7:55 p.m. Sept. 21 on Gant Road, Town of Fayette. Helen G. Marty, 16, New Glarus, was eastbound when she swerved to miss a deer and entered the ditch. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed.
On Sept. 23:
● No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 4:47 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Camron S. Zywicki, 32, Darlington, was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the ditch hitting a power pole. His vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was cited for operating while intoxicated and reckless driving. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS assisted.
● Justin B. Benefiel, 34, Pearl City, reported hitting a deer at 5:43 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove. His 2015 Jeep sustained severe damage. It was towed.
On Sept. 24:
● Alan t. Briggs, 62, Warren, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 5:26 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. His 2009 Pontiac sustained severe damage. It was towed.
● A minor two-vehicle accident was reported at 2:27 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 4:58 p.m. Sept. 26 on County J, Town of Benton. Logan E. Brandt, 17, Dickeyville, was traveling on County J when he lost control of his vehicle, exited the roadway and entered a field. Benton police assisted.
