Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in an ATV accident at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on County D in Fayette township. Deputies report Eric D. Siegenthaler, 34, Darlington, was injured when the operator of an ATV backed over him. Siegenthaler was transported to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital and later flown to a Madison Hospital. Rural Medical Ambulance responded to the accident.

• Ruth E. Eames, 56, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 81 in Darlington township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• Cara Carper, age unknown, address unknown, reported striking a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday on County D in Lamont township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11 a.m. Wednesday on Dunphy Road west of English Settlement Road in the Town of Albany. Deputies report Anthony J. Reese, 21, Evansville, was driving west on Dunphy Road, when he became distracted, took his eyes off the road, and drove into the path of a truck driven by a Robert M. Wilson, 42, Brodhead. Reese's vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Wilson's vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Reese was cited for inattentive driving and released pending court.
