Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Gale A. Gohlke, 75, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N3600 block of Wisconsin 69, Monroe Township, at 9:50 a.m. Monday. Gohlke was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• Dale K. Bahr, 55, Belmont, was uninjured after the truck and trailer he was driving hit a road sign on County O at County F, Seymour Township, at 12:50 p.m. Bahr reported that he was attempting to turn onto County F from County O when an unknown eastbound vehicle on County F forced Bahr to turn the truck and trailer sharply to avoid a collision. Bahr's truck then hit a road sign causing minor damage to the truck, and it was driven from the scene. The Lafayette County Highway Department assisted in repairing the damaged traffic sign.

• Dilan M. Varner, 22, Blanchardville, was uninjured in a turkey vs. vehicle accident on County N, Argyle Township, at 2:40 p.m. Varner's vehicle was moderately damaged from hitting the turkey.

• No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on West Mound Road, Belmont Township, at 4:17 p.m. Morgan R. Evans, 17, Rockford, reported having mechanical problems that caused his vehicle to travel into a ditch. Evans and his two passengers were uninjured.

• Anna E. Fitzimmons, 19, Darlington, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred on County K, Darlington Township, at 11:32 p.m. Fitzimmons' vehicle was moderately damaged.
