MONROE POLICE

MONROE - No injuries were reported at 7:46 a.m. Monday after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 4th Street. Vincent R. Waelti, 18, Monroe, rear-ended a vehicle stopped at the intersection. Waelti was cited for inattentive driving. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, and Waelti's was towed from the scene.

SHERIFF

MONROE - On Monday:

• No injuries were reported at 6:31 a.m. after Daphne A. Sathoff, 45, Monroe, struck a deer in the W4700 block of Wisconsin 81, Town of Jordan. Sathoff's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:48 a.m. after James M. Hagen, 49, Woodford, struck a deer in the W6800 block of County Y, Town of Monroe. Hagen's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Paul R. Witke, 28, Monroe, was hospitalized after he lost control of his vehicle at 6:43 p.m. in the N4200 block of Skinner Hollow Road, Town of Jordan. Witke's vehicle skidded into a ditch and overturned after he attempted to veer around a skid loader in the roadway. Witke suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Witke was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated and was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.Witke was released pending court.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 7:15 p.m. Monday after Amy D. Evans, 39, struck a deer on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. Evans' vehicle was driven from the scene.
