DARLINGTON - A deputy removed a deer carcass struck by an unknown vehicle from Red Rock Road in the Town of Darlington at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.
• Aaron A. Swanson, 35, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was treated at the scene for injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle crash on County G in the Town of Belmont at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17. He lost control on the wet pavement when he attempted to brake for a deer in the road. The truck he was driving slid into the ditch and rolled onto its side. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed. The Belmont Fire Department and Belmont Ambulance assisted at the scene.
