Traffic Accidents: Nov. 22, 2014

Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 19th Street. Tessa G. Fischer, 19, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by a 16-year-old person from Monroe. Fischer was cited at 8:01 a.m. Thursday for failure to yield from a stop sign. Damage was reported from both vehicles.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Thursday:

• Jason M. Freeman, 25, Brodhead, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash in the N7100 block of County E, Town of Albany, at 7:15 p.m. Freeman was southbound when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and he lost control, sliding into the west ditch. Freeman attempted to correct and entered the east ditch where the vehicle hit the ditch and several trees coming to rest in the tree line. He was taken by a private vehicle for treatment of his injuries, then met deputies at the Albany Police Department. The vehicle sustained damage to all areas and was towed from the scene.

• Steven D. Guth, 33, Monroe, was uninjured in a vehicle vs. deer accident that occurred in the N6400 block of County E, Town of Albany, at 8:16 p.m. Guth was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.

• Patricia I. Binger, 50, Brooklyn, was uninjured in a vehicle vs. deer accident that occurred in the W5100 block of County W, Town of New Glarus, at 9:05 p.m. Binger was eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:

• Taryn J. Rankin, 16, Darlington, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash on County F, Willow Springs Township, at 6:05 a.m. Rankin was southbound negotiating a curve when he lost control and attempted to correct, causing the vehicle to cross both lanes of traffic and into a fence. Rankin's vehicle entered a pasture and came to rest. The vehicle was damaged and towed from the scene.

• Brad P. Lancaster, 45, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on County A, Argyle Township, at 5:48 p.m.

• Barbara L. Smith, 80, Argyle, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on County N, Argyle Township, at 8:35 p.m. Smith was stopped at a stop sign on Lake Road and then turned north onto County N, but her vehicle went wide and hit a guardrail. Her vehicle was towed off of the guardrail and driven from the scene after sustaining minor damage.

• Kevin L. Baker, 30, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township, at 10:23 p.m.
