Monroe Police

MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday at 9th Street and 11th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Miriam A. Glenn-Rufenacht, 81, Monroe, hit a motorcycle driven by John M. Zimmerman, 24, Monroe. Zimmerman sustained minor injuries and declined medical transport. Glenn-Rufenacht was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Zimmerman's motorcycle received extensive damage.

• Keith A. Anderson, 60, Monroe, was arrested for hit and run to an unattended vehicle and third-offense drunken driving following a two-vehicle accident at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of 17th Street. Police report his vehicle hit a vehicle owned by Curt W. Olsen, 27, Monroe. The vehicles received minor damage. Anderson was jailed.

• Craig K. Marsh, 35, Monroe, was arrested for hit and run to an unattended vehicle, drunken driving and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration following a two-vehicle accident Sunday in the 1400 block of mansion Drive. Police report Marsh's vehicle hit a parked vehicle owned by Lance D. Ray, 27, Monroe. The vehicles received moderate damage. Marsh was released pending court.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday on Town Center Road at County G in Spring Grove township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Frances M. Newcomer, 75, Juda, pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Joseph M. Manni, 45, Poplar Grove, Ill. Manni's vehicle went into the ditch. He sustained injuries but declined medical treatment. Newcomer was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Manni's vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
