Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at 8th Street and 3rd Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Christina M. Newsome, 19, Stillman Valley, Ill., collided with a vehicle driven by Brad B. Bennett, 47, Blanchardville. Newsome was cited for inattentive driving. The vehicles received minor damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured when a vehicle caught fire at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the N7900 block of Wisconsin 69. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Calsea A. Garbe, 17, Monticello, caught fire in the engine compartment. Garbe stopped the vehicle and exited. The fire was contained to the engine compartment. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday on County O in White Oak Springs township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Albert Mysliwiec, 21, Shullsburg, failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a power pole. He was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and for not wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was towed.
