Green County SheriffMONROE - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday on County K, east of County S in the Town of Jefferson. Deputies report Mathew P. Thies, 27, Monroe, was westbound on County K, negotiating a curve, when he saw three deer standing in the roadway. He attempted to swerve to miss them, but ended up entering the north ditch and going down a steep embankment, striking several smalls trees before coming to a rest.
