Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on 10th Avenue at 8th Street. Emmanuel Luengas-Roman, 26, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from Brodhead. Luengas-Roman was cited at 3:22 p.m. Monday for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign. Both vehicles were moderately damaged.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Jeffrey L. Broege, 53, Browntown, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the N9200 block of County MM, Town of Cadiz, at 2:50 a.m. Broege was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snowy roadway and slid off into the north shoulder, hitting a rock wall. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

• Gary G. Schoville, 66, Janesville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wisconsin 104 and Atkinson Road, Town of Albany, at 7:04 a.m. Schoville was attempting to turn right onto Atkinson Road and slid off the snow-covered roadway and hit a utility pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the W2000 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Spring Grove, at 8:48 a.m. Nancy U. Richardson, 44, Beloit, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the snowy roadway and sideswiped an eastbound vehicle driven by Akiko Ogino Christison, 52, Monroe. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and were towed from the scene.

• Brittany Marie Klemm, 20, Browntown, sustained non life-threatening injuries in a one-snowmobile crash on private property at Davis Road, Town of Cadiz, at 8:10 p.m. Klemm was northbound in a field when the snowmobile hit a raised creek bed/embankment and the sled overturned, ejecting Klemm. She was wearing proper head and eye protection but sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to the Monroe Clinic Hospital Emergency Room. The snowmobile was severely damaged.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• A deputy responded at 12:13 a.m. to a report of a hit-and-run accident on Commerce Street, Belmont.

• A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 3:36 a.m. on U.S. 151, Township of Belmont.

• A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on U.S. 151, Kendall Township, at 4:19 a.m.

• Deputies responded to numerous calls throughout the county of vehicles in the ditch at about 4:42 a.m. due to the slippery road conditions.

• Mikayla Carroll, 49, Belvidere, Ill., sustained injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 78, Gratiot Township, at 10:46 a.m. Carroll was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snowy roadway and slid off the road hitting some tree branches. She was transported to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital by Rural Medical Ambulance for treatment of her injuries. Carroll's vehicle was towed from the scene with minor damage.

• A deputy responded at 6:19 p.m. to a vehicle in the ditch on County J, Benton Township.

• A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on U.S. 151, Belmont Township, at 10:49 p.m.
