Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 11th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Ernest W. Jaggi, 80, collided with a vehicle driven by Brittany A. Longhenry, 20, Monroe. Jaggi was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

- No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Lance A. Nall, 41, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Laura A. Bader, 51, Monroe. Nall was cited for inattentive driving.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident at about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 59 near Greenbush Road. Deputies report Barbara L. Rufi, 70, Monroe, was eastbound when she lost control of her car on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and overturned onto its roof. Rufi was extricated from the vehicle by Monroe Fire Department. She was taken transported to the hospital by Monroe EMS for possible injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Monroe Police also responded.

- One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 104 north of Elmer Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Deputies report Christopher K. Davidson, 37, Brodhead, was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the west ditch. The vehicle continued in the ditch, then crossed over Elmer Road and came to rest in the south ditch off of Elmer Road. Davidson suffered an injury and was transported by Brooklyn EMS to a Madison area hospital. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 104 north of Elmer Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Deputies report Rick E. Moore, 50, Brodhead, was southbound and attempting to pass another vehicle when he observed a motor vehicle crash with law enforcement on the scene and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle struck the ditch and rolled onto its side. Moore was not injured in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, Laura L. Haas, 43, Brodhead, suffered an injury, but declined medical treatment. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on Wis. 11 at Cadiz Springs Road in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies report William O. Naese, 44, Stockton, Ill., was westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the sleet- and ice-covered road, and it struck the guardrail face. The vehicle received moderate damage. There was no damage observed on the guardrail.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 39 at Buckeye Road in the Town of York. Deputies report Harvey W. Kubly, 62, Monticello, advised he was eastbound and was attempting to negotiate a curve when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered road. The vehicle entered the north ditch and went down a steep embankment, coming to rest next to a fence. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 104 south of County C in the Town of Brooklyn. Deputies report Robert L. Epps Sr., 71, Deforest, was northbound when he lost control of his truck. The truck entered the west ditch where it overturned and came to rest on its roof. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover accident at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the W8300 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of York. Deputies report Karen M. Nodorft, 62, New Glarus, advised she was eastbound and negotiating a curve when her vehicle slid on the ice-covered road. Her vehicle entered the north ditch and rolled over once, coming to rest on its wheels. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the N3900 block of Wis. 59 in the Town of Sylvester. Deputies report Steven L. Faessler, 54, Monroe, was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which then entered the west ditch. The vehicle received minor damage. Monroe EMS also responded.

- A vehicle driven by Inna V. Platner, 34, New Glarus, and a deer collided at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on County N at County NN in the Town of New Glarus. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on County F in the Town of Blanchardville. Deputies report Joyce E. Dearth, 86, Blanchardville, was northbound and negotiating a curve, when she lost control of the vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck a culvert. The vehicle received damage and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover accident at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on County F in the Town of Fayette. Deputies report Sharon K. Lawinger, 33, Blanchardville, was northbound and negotiating a curve when she lost control of the vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle entered the ditch sideways and rolled over. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed for the scene. Darlington Fire Department and Rural Medical Ambulance assisted at the scene.
