Traffic Accidents: March 20, 2014

MONROE- On Tuesday, March 18:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on 15th Avenue and 10th Street. Rita H. Prokuski, 62, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a vehicle driven by a 55-year-old man from Darlington. Prokuski was cited at 2:36 p.m. for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on 4th Avenue and 6th Street. Gerald L. Voegeli, 54, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a vehicle driven by an 85-year-old man from Monroe. Voegeli was cited at 4:41 p.m. for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

• Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on West 8th street and 6th Avenue West at 4:51 p.m. A 25-year-old male from Monticello was driving a vehicle that hit a vehicle being driven by an 86-year-old female from Monroe. The male driver continued over the embankment and collided with a guardrail. The male was transported to the hospital for medical conditions, which may have contributed to the cause of the accident.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - DARLINGTON - Michael A. Figi, 40, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on Wis. 78, Blanchard Township, Sunday, March 16. Figi's vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• Jeffrey r. Schuetz, 48, Darlington, was uninjured after he reported hitting a deer on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township at 6:30 a.m. Monday, March 17.

On Tuesday, March 18:

• Mary G. Barr, 46, Argyle, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 78, Argyle Township at 5:28 p.m.

• Rodney A. Wessel, 38, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer on Fort Defiance Road, Willow Springs Township at 8:12 p.m.
