Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Thursday:

• Bradley D. Zweifel, 41, Belleville, and Ronald E. Cruse, 55, Albany, were involved in a two-vehicle crash at 12:40 p.m. on County E at Brooklyn Albany Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Zweifel, in a truck pulling a trailer, reportedly was stopped at the intersection and did not see Cruse on his motorcycle. As Zweifel started to move forward into Cruse's path, Cruse applied the brakes and laid the motorcycle down, trying to avoid a collision. However, Cruse and the motorcycle slid on the road and hit the trailer. Cruse, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported by EMS for injuries sustained in the crash. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and the trailer sustained minor damage. Zweifel, who was not injured, will be cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and non-registration of an auto.
