NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - On Sunday:

• Brian K. Curley, 49, Sun Prairie, was cited for unsafe backing at 1:25 p.m. after he reportedly backed into a van operated by Carol J. Meter of Cassville in the 400 block of 2nd Street. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 8:06 p.m. with a one-vehicle crash with injuries in the N7100 block of County N in the Town of Washington.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Thomas C. Yager, 55, Mineral Point, was injured and taken to the Monroe Clinic emergency room after he crashed his all-terrain vehicle into a ditch between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Clarno Road at Mings Road in the Town of Clarno. He told police he got lost traveling home from Yellowstone Lake State Park. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash. Citations are pending.

On Sunday:

• Margaret H. Howden, 68, New Glarus, was injured and transported to Monroe Clinic's emergency room following a one-car crash in the N7100 block of County N in the Town of Washington. A passenger reportedly turned the steering wheel, causing the car to leave the roadway and go into a ditch and a bean field. The passenger was not injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

• William F. Moore, 63, Albany, reported hitting a deer at 9:07 p.m. in the W1200 block of County C in the Town of Brooklyn. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Sunday:

• Garrett Schrear, 24, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 3:33 p.m. on County Shop Road in the Town of Darlington.

• Brady Connors, 18, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 9:30 p.m. on Roller Coaster Road in the Town of Darlington.
