Green County Sheriff
MONROE - Dennis L. Benson, 62, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on Wisconsin 69, Benkert Road, Town of Monroe, at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday. Benson was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:
Daniel D. Koester, 29, Warren, Ill., sustained a minor facial injury after his vehicle ran into the ditch on Brown Road, Gratiot Township, at 11:53 a.m. Koester was southbound when he attempted to avoid hitting a deer on the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled into the ditch, then over a driveway and down an embankment before coming to rest in a small creek. Koester refused medical treatment at the scene. Koester's vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.
Adam J. Pergande, 22, Kieler, and his passengers were uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on White Oak Road, New Diggings Township, at 8:35 p.m. Pergande was southbound when his vehicle hit a rough patch of roadway causing damage to the undercarriage of his vehicle including the gas tank. His vehicle became disabled and was towed from the scene.
