Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7 p.m. Sunday at 6th Street and 25th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Joseph M. Urban, 18, Monroe, hit a utility pole. Urban was cited for inattentive driving.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident at about 3 p.m. Sunday in the N5700 block of County F. Deputies report a motorcycle driven by Paul A. Ramsey, 61, Durand, hit some loose gravel, which caused the motorcycle to slide into the ditch. Ramsey declined medical attention at the scene. His passenger, Catherine M. McLure, 51, Rockford, was taken to the Monroe Clinic by Albany Emergency Medical Services. The motorcycle received moderate damage.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Saturday on County MM in Cadiz township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Glenn H. Scott, 53, Freeport, left the road, went into a ditch for a couple hundred feet, went back onto the road and rolled, coming to rest in a ditch. He was taken by Green County EMS to the Monroe airport and was taken by helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• One person was injured in a bicycle accident at about 7:15 p.m. Friday in the N9300 block of Hustad Valley Road in New Glarus township. Deputies report a bicycle ridden by Kris D. Kubly, 61, New Glarus, swerved to avoid a dog. The front fork of his bike broke and the wheel fell off. Kubly was taken by helicopter to UW Hospital for injuries.

• Myron J. Ellingson, 49, Monroe, was injured when a deer collided with the side of his motorcycle at about 9:15 p.m. Friday on Wisconsin 11 near Keller Road. Ellingson was taken to the Monroe Clinic by Green County EMS. The motorcycle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a tractor accident at about 7 p.m. Saturday on Lewis Road. Deputies report a 1953 McCormick Farmall Super M tractor driven by Richard C. Lewis, turned onto Lewis Road when it entered a private driveway and hit a parked truck owned by Vicki J. Novak, 56, Argyle. The tractor then hit a parked vehicle owned by Herbert J. Bates, 51, Albany. The tractor then hit a house owned by Novak and John G. Schaid, Argyle. Lewis was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and open intoxicants. He was released pending court. Novak's vehicle received extensive damage; Bates' vehicle received moderate damage; and the house received damage to the siding.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday on County S at Giese Road in Jefferson township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Robin S. Marass, 54, Juda, pulled out from a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Sam G. Swedlund, 37, Juda. Swedlund's vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Marass's vehicle received moderate damage. Marass was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released pending court.

• A vehicle driven by Jason A. Hartman, 36, Madison, collided with a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the N3600 block of County N. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday on County D in Wayne township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Anna L. Monson, 16, Gratiot, left the road, hit a fence line and came to rest in a creek. Monson's vehicle was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Joan Montgomery, 57, South Wayne, hit a deer at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday on County D in Lamont township.

• A vehicle driven by Ashley Buss, 26, Blanchardville, hit a deer at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday on County G in Fayette township.
