Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 7:14 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of 11 Street. Reports indicate that Angelique D. Ellenson, 27, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by Cameron J. Davis, 21, Freeport. Ellenson was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:34 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of 17th Avenue. Reports indicate that Joshua H.W. Broge, 24, Monroe, was parked, the vehicle slipped out of gear and collided with a building, causing a window to shatter and the window frame to bend.

MONROE - No injuries were reported during an accident at 2:21 a.m. Thursday in the W500 block of Amidon Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Reports indicate that a convoy of five combines and support vehicles were traveling west on Amidon Road when Nathan J. Burza, 21, Belvidere, Ill., lost control of his combine, which was the first one in line. Nathan's combine traveled backwards down a hill, where it turned and came to rest in the north ditch. Brian K. Burza, 46, Belvidere, was operating the second combine, when he backed up to avoid colliding with Nathan's combine. The third combine, operated by Daniel R. Copeland, 24, Delavan, also backed up to avoid a collision. Brian's combine sideswiped the left side of Daniel's combine. Daniel's combine came to rest, partially obstructing the roadway. Brian's combine came to rest in the south ditch alongside Daniel's combine. The second and third combines were wedged together and had to be separated by tow truck. Nathan's combine had no damage and was driven from the scene. Daniel's combine had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Brian's combine had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. L&S Truck Service assisted in separating the damaged combines.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:56 p.m. Thursday on Wis. 69, south of county C, in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Reports indicate that Rachel L. Owen, 23, Middleton, was traveling northbound Wis. 69 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage, but was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Injuries were reported during a hit-and-run accident at 11:24 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne. Reports indicate that Mahir Kadhim Al-Harbia, 39; Riyadh Jawad Al-Hussain, 39; and Mohammed Qassem Jaloub, 38; all of Freeport, reported the injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
