NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3 p.m. Jan. 13, in the New Glarus Elementary School parking lot. Police report a vehicle driven by Alfred J. Lienhardt, 58, New Glarus, and owned by the New Glarus School District struck a vehicle driven by Curtis J. Taylor, 54, rural New Glarus. Both vehicles received minor damage.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6 p.m. Jan. 13 at the intersection of Fifth Street and Fifth Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Christopher M. McPhee, 34, Mount Horeb, was northbound on Fifth Street and slid past a stop sign, striking a westbound vehicle driven by Bonnie J. Sigman, 36, Blanchardville. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Icy road conditions were listed as a contributing factor.

MONROE - One person was injured on a one-vehicle accident at about 1:30 a.m. Friday in the W6200 block of Legler Valley Road in New Glarus township. Green County deputies, a Wisconsin DNR warden, New Glarus Fire and EMS responded. Deputies report Kevin M. Leinhardt, 17, New Glarus, was traveling east on Legler Valley Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to speed and the snow- and ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the south shoulder of the roadway and overturned several times, coming to rest on its wheels in an open field. Leinhardt was transported for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Davis, 37, Monticello, backed out of his driveway and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Investigation revealed Jaclyn J. Ditter, 16, Monroe, had illegally parked the second vehicle. Both vehicles received moderate damage.
A vehicle driven by Harold J. Schacel, 36, Port Washington, Wis., was eastbound when two deer collided with his vehicle at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday, on Wisconsin 81 near Clarence Lane in Spring Grove township. The vehicle received moderate damages and was driven from the scene.
A vehicle driven by Barbara A. Bauman, 55, South Wayne, was eastbound when it collided with a deer at about midnight Friday on County MM, one-tenth of a mile west of Smock Valley Road in Cadiz township. The vehicle received moderate damage. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department reported the investigation at about 2:45 a.m. Friday.

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a snowmobile accident at about 3 a.m. Saturday on Bean Street Road in Benton township. Deputies report Jeremey Nielson, 28, Shullsburg, hit a fence while operating his snowmobile. Nielson sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. A deputy, Benton Fire Department, Benton First Responders and Hazel Green Rescue Squad responded.
One person was injured in a snowmobile accident at about midnight Sunday on Furnace Hill Road in Willow Springs township. Chad Martin, 24, New Glarus, received injuries when he was ejected from the sled he was riding. Darlington Fire Department, Rural Medical Ambulance and deputies responded.
Deputies report Nicole Long, 36, Shullsburg, lost control of her vehicle and left the road at about 6 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 11 in Benton township. Long was cited for traveling too fast for conditions.
