Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the intersection of 8th Street and 6th Avenue West at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, after vehicles driven by Matthew J. Signer, 30, Freeport, Ill., and Linda J. Cunningham, 69, Mt. Carroll, Ill., collided. Both vehicles were moderately damaged.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Kim A. Havens, 58, Darlington, reported no injuries at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, after he couldn't avoid hitting a deer as he crested a hill in the W8500 block of Wisconsin 39 in the Town of York. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- Deputies responded at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, to the scene of an accident on Wis. 81 east of Trotter Road in the Town of Jordan, where Justin R. Schwenker, 22, Janesville, said he couldn't avoid a collision with a deer. The impact launched the deer into the opposing lane of traffic, where it hit a passing vehicle driven by Kristie L. Nelson, 67, Argyle. Schwenker and his passenger and Nelson reported no injuries. The vehicles sustained minor damage.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jeffrey G. Wilhelmson, 52, Argyle, reported at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, that he hit a deer on Spore Road in the Town of Argyle on Jan. 16. He was uninjured. The vehicle was moderately damaged.

- Hailey H. Heins, 17, Mineral Point, reported at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, that she hit a deer on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. She was uninjured. The vehicle was moderately damaged.

- Florence M. Raisbeck, 50, Apple River, Ill., reported at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, that she hit a deer on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne. She was uninjured. The vehicle was moderately damaged.
